As the mobile gaming industry continues to thrive, Sensor Tower provides an insightful glimpse into the Arcade Racing category's performance during the first quarter of 2021 in the United States. Here's how the top apps fared on the unified platform.
ABC Runner by JoyPac showed significant user engagement with a peak of 1M weekly active users in early February, although it saw a decreasing trend to 309K by the end of March. Downloads surged to 805K at the start of February but gradually declined to 162K by the quarter's end. Revenue generation began in March, starting at $743 and fluctuating throughout the month.
Voodoo's Shortcut Run experienced a decrease in weekly active users from 1.35M at the year's start to 952K by March's end. The download numbers dipped from 586K in late December to 156K in the last week of March. The app's revenue also saw a downward trend, from $1.78K to $372 in the same period.
Zynga Inc.'s Gear Race 3D witnessed a gradual decrease in both weekly active users, from 559K to 108K, and downloads, from 443K to 58K, over the quarter. Revenue figures were minimal, starting at $3 in early February and reaching $306 mid-March before dropping to $41.
Another Voodoo title, aquapark.io, saw weekly active users decrease from 2.18M to 1.17M. The downloads followed a declining pattern from 369K to 158K, with a slight uptick to 157K at the quarter's end. Revenue began at $564 and experienced minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at $321.
Lastly, Freeplay LLC's Happy Printer launched in late February and saw an impressive spike in weekly active users, reaching 628K in early March, then settling at 307K by the quarter's end. Downloads skyrocketed from 18K in mid-February to 432K in early March, followed by a decrease to 227K. No revenue data was reported for this app.
